Wall of Sound 2011
The theme for this year’s show was “Piano Man: The Music of Billy Joel” and featured many of Billy Joel’s greatest hits including We Didn’t Start The Fire, Piano Man, My Life, Only The Good Die Young, Air Dublinesque and Just the Way You Are.
The 98 members of the Wall of Sound "survived" Wall Camp and performed at the annual WBB Golf Outing, the Pre-season Field Show performance, an early home football game and the Richfield Parade in August.
September brought their second football game, Band Day at UW-Madison, the West DePere Marching Invite (1st Place and Captions for best visual and best color guard) and Homecoming.
October completed our competitive schedule with performances at Fort Atkinson & Cudahy our final home football game and State Marching Band Championships at UW-Whitewater. At the SMBC, the Wall received the 3rd place trophy in class AAA, tying their highest placement ever.
After the rousing performance at the Almost Anything Goes Show and the Germantown Christmas Parade, the Wall concludes their schedule with their traditional performances for the entire population of Kennedy Middle School on the day before Thanksgiving.
Overall, this year's Wall has been a tremendous success. Thanks to the many parent volunteers, our hard-working student leadership team and the dedication of all of the students and staff. Together, we truly made it a great season. Thank you everyone!
The theme and information for the 2012 Wall of Sound will be announced in January 2012.
